One common thread of his experience was the personal observation that all peoples, regardless of their shared backgrounds or cultures, view life as an event to be enjoyed, shared and appreciated. This cultural education led him to see the beauty and joy that other cultures see in themselves which is manifested in their values, cuisine and dress. What better way to express these shared values than to create products that reflect the sensible values of beauty, durability and luxury common to most cultures.
